How to Repair and Beat the Arcade Games in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit

Five Nights at Freddy’s has celebrated its 10 year anniversary with a completely new game, Into the Pit, inspired by a spin-off book from the Fazbear Frights series, which tells the story of Oswald, a young boy whose life is tormented by a psychopath from the past.

The FNAF series is known for its nostalgic retro themes, as well as incredibly obscure easter eggs and ending requirements, and Into the Pit is no different, featuring a plethora of mini-games for the player to solve.

Below you can view the solution for each mini-game, as well as their score requirements and how to fix the machines. Enjoy!

Collect the hats:

Requirement: Find the secret ending

Part location: Party hallway at Jeff’s Pizza

Collect the Hats may look like a straightforward mini-game at first, but it actually features a secret ending, which is required to consider it cleared. Players have to collect all five hats and then walk to another screen, which is accessed by going left when standing on the middle platform. Players can then rescue the sixth hat from the purple guy before being able to leave through the red door.

Fast Food Invader:

Requirement: 3500 points

Part location: The Arcade at Jeff’s Pizza

This Space Invaders clone is one of the easier games to clear, and only requires 3500 points, which amounts to roughly 35 enemies killed. There’s no downside to spamming the shoot button, so your only job is to dodge the slow projectiles as you will hit most enemies without issue. Keep in mind that certain enemies take more than one hit to kill, however.

Shoot the Space Balloons:

Requirement: 10000 points

Part location: Storage room at Jeff’s Pizza

Shoot the Space Balloons is an Asteroids clone where the player has to defend themselves against incoming waves of flying animatronic heads. This is one of the harder games, and requires good reflexes and positioning. The best tip is to play it with a controller and avoid the corners of the screen between waves, while doing your best to not sit still for too long.

Deliver the Pizza:

Requirement: 15000 points

Part location: Party hallway at Jeff’s Pizza (found by inspecting the trash can)

Deliver the Pizza is a reasonably tough Frogger clone which requires you to serve 15 tables while dodging incoming kids. There’s a good chance that most of your deaths will happen by trying to go up right after you deliver a Pizza, so count your moves properly. The time limit is pretty generous and refreshes whenever you finish a delivery, so there’s no need to rush.

Heftin’ with Helpules:

Requirement: 10 reps

Part location: Oswald’s Basement (Appears after completing night one).

Heftin’ with Helpules is one of the simplest games to beat, and only requires you to mash the curl button until you reach ten reps. You should have just enough time mashing with a keyboard, but it seems to be easier with a controller.

Rescue the Children:

Requirement: Rescue all four kids and leave

Part location: Basement at Freddy’s Pizza

Rescue the Children has you moving through a maze rescuing four children while being chased by Springtrap. The game only really starts after rescuing the first child, so take your time to plan out your route and what exit you’ll pick. Springtrap is about as fast as the character you control, so as long as you keep moving it should be simple.

Solve the Puzzle:

Requirement: Solve the puzzle

Part location: The Mill

Solve the Puzzle is a 3×3 8-piece sliding puzzle of Freddy Fazbear’s iconic jumpscare. The mini-game tracks your time but doesn’t actually have a time requirement, thankfully, so you can clear it at your own pace. The best way to clear this puzzle is to solve one side a time, starting with a corner piece and then grouping up both middle and opposite corner pieces rather than one at a time.

Pizza Roller:

Requirement: 800 points

Part location: Ball pit at Freddy’s Pizza (Might only show up after completing night two)

Pizza Roller is possibly the meanest mini-game on the list, as it requires you to get a perfect score of 800 to clear. The best way to do this is to aim towards the specific stain we marked on the image above and only charge the arrow about halfway through. There are other spots that seemingly work well, but this one seems to be the most consistent according to our tests.

And that’s about it for Into the Pit’s mini-games. Fixing all arcade machines is a requirement for the three star ending and nets you an achievement, as well as special dialogue with Jeff. Players are only required to fix and play all machines for the best ending, but meeting the score thresholds nets you an additional achievement, as well as alternate music tracks.
