Nintendo Switch Online update fixes Zelda’s Water Temple room

fixes Zelda's Water Temple room

A new Nintendo Switch Online update fixes Zelda’s Water Temple room, the now infamous graphics glitch found in the recent re-release.

When The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was re-released for Switch via its Nintendo Switch Online subscription, it had a bunch of issues with its poor emulation.

The newly released Nintendo Switch Online update fixes Zelda’s Water Temple room finally, so both the water transparency and now the fog have been properly emulated on the handheld console. The water was fixed with an update in January but now the iconic locale looks just as it did on the N64.

In related news, Nintendo recently said they have “no plans” to offer classic games outside their Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Nintendo Switch Online launched in September 2018, to date the service has been adding various classic games that active subscribers can download and play.

Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online is part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, is a new subscription tier that launched in October 2021. It adds classic Nintendo 64 alongside Sega Genesis games to Nintendo’s online service.
