Swedish developer Fall Damage has released the first trailer for their upcoming online strategy game, BATALJ.

BATALJ is a simultaneous-turn strategy game where players build a custom squad of units lead by a powerful hero. The game features 9 heroes and 54 units spread across 3 distinct factions. You can check out the trailer above.

The game is currently in closed beta, and you can sign up for future betas on the official website. The game will launch sometime next year for Windows PC via Steam, and Fall Damage is considering a console port sometime after that.

With three factions, multiple heroes and units you can try out different combinations, discover synergies and explore strategies that fits your playstyle. Your custom-made squad consists of unique units with a wide range of versatile abilities that can change the tide of battle.

BATALJ has a completely new take on simultaneous turns. Each round consists of a planning phase and an action phase where you schedule your squad’s actions and watch them execute your orders. Your ability to strategize, and outsmart your opponent will be crucial. BATALJ will challenge you with its depth and fast gameplay.
