First Three Starfield Locations Revealed in New Videos

First Three Starfield Locations

Publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer Bethesda Game Studios have revealed the first three Starfield locations in new videos that give the inspirations behind each location.

The new “location insights” videos give a rundown on the inspirations behind the first revealed in-game locations, complete with developer commentary from design director Emil Pagliarulo.

Included in the new reveals are Akila, the capital of the Freestar Collective; the pleasure city of Neon; and the space port of New Atlantis – the capital of the United Colonies.

Here’s the videos introducing the first three Starfield locations:

Previously, it was up in the air if Starfield would be exclusive to PC and Xbox, and the game was teased at the possibility of being an Xbox console exclusive ever since Microsoft acquired Bethesda in March 2021; though the deal to acquire it and parent company Zenimax Media was first announced in September of last year.

Here’s a brief rundown on the game:

Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom. Harnessing the power of next-gen technology and built on the all-new Creation Engine 2, Starfield takes you on a journey through space as you strive to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.

Starfield was recently confirmed to launch for Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S on November 11, 2022.
