We’ve gotten the first look at the upcoming Castlevania animated series.

The news comes via the game’s poster (featured above), revealed by producer Adi Shankar over on his official Facebook page.

Here’s a refresher on the series:

“Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.”

The animated series is being handled by Federator Studios, penned by comic book visionary Warren Ellis, with executive producers including Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert, and Adi Shankar.

Season one for Castlevania is set to launch sometime this year.
