Last week, we reported on Harebrained Schemes announcing that a Kickstarter campaign for yet another Shadowrun game was coming next month.
Unfortunately, we don’t have anything concrete yet, but they did reveal a new piece of concept artwork that is supposed to capture the “look and feel” of the game’s new setting:
“Here’s a piece of look & feel concept art for our new setting. We’ll show how it translates into Shadowrun’s isometric gameplay view when our Kickstarter launches in January!”
From the looks of it, the new Shadowrun game could very well be in Hong Kong – like a good number of cyberpunk fiction tends to be. I’m definitely not complaining, I love Asian culture and would love to see their take on the famous and iconic city.
It’s worth noting that Harebrained Schemes is not breaking away from the isometric view seen in both the Shadowrun reboot, and its expansion, Shadowrun: Dragonfall.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
