First Story Trailer for Warhammer: Chaosbane

Bigben Interactive and Eko Software have released the first story trailer for Warhammer: Chaosbane, an upcoming Action-RPG set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe.

The trailer, featured above, indicates that the game will be set in the immediate aftermath of the Great War Against Chaos.

That war includes a massive conflict that saw the rise of Magnus the Pious, the reunification of the Empire of Man, and the death of Asavar Kul, the fourth Everchosen of Chaos. In laymen’s terms, Chaosbane will cover some fairly major events in the Old War, before the End Times and the transition to the current Age of Sigmar fluff.

Here’s a rundown on the game:

The development of the title is being done by Eko Software, a French studio who has demonstrated great skill in the hack’n slash genre with How to Survive 1 and 2, a series which captivated millions of players.

This adaptation of the franchise will be the first action RPG to take place in the Warhammer Fantasy world. The game takes place in the Old World, a dark and bloody continent devastated by wars against Chaos.

In Warhammer: Chaosbane, the player will be plunged into the middle of Old World history as they embody a human, a high elf, a wood elf, or a dwarf and discover several iconic locations such as the cursed city of Praag, or Nuln, the old capital of the Empire.

Warhammer: Chaosbane is set to release sometime next year for Windows PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
