Nintendo has revealed the first screenshot of the single player campaign in the new Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.

The only bit of information that accompanied the new screenshot was that the new single player campaign would not be similar to Brawl’s Subspace Emissary:

The game won’t feature a story mode like SSBB’s “Subspace Emissary”.

While it remains to be seen if this means both the Wii U and the 3DS versions will have lacking singe player campaigns, one can hope that they’ll deliver in a way that will appease fans.
