We’ve known that Mighty No. 9 is getting longer legs via an animated series, but now Comcept has announced the first batch of potential downloadable content for the game.
If backers old and new alike donate at least $190,000 dollars to the game, a new stage and a rival boss character named “Ray” will be added to the game, for all backers.
Comcept has made a few things clear about the downloadable content: if the new milestone is reached, it will come some time next summer to all current backers. However, they pointed out that “none of the developers have or would begin working in earnest on this DLC until their work is done on the Mighty No. 9 retail release.”
Many fans are likening Ray to Mega Man‘s own Zero. He’s described as “a lone wolf character with no siblings” and a noticeable part of his chest is missing, where his core should be. Ray is consistently deteriorating, which may explain why his absorption ability is more vampiric than Beck’s version.

October 30, 2014 at 11:32 amI don’t think you should let that dumb twat ruin the game for you because she has nothing to do with the development.

October 30, 2014 at 11:41 amYeah she does. She forced her pronoun shit into the Gunvolt game, she’ll do it here. I’m not supporting a practice that allows them to push their retarded agenda.

October 30, 2014 at 6:30 pmHe can keep it. I’ve seen how little regard he has for the people who’ve funded his project and I certainly won’t be showing up for it or any other project he has a hand in.

October 31, 2014 at 5:09 amAsking for even more money for DLC at this point is ridiculous. If your game is successful you’ll have the money to create the DLC and sell it fair and square. Kamiya was right – Inafune is more of a businessman than a creator. I’ll play the main game because I unfortunately supported the Kickstarter (what can I say I was in F Capcom mode), but they will not see another penny from me.
