We’ve gotten the first look at Summon Night 6: Lost Borders, Bandai Namco’s newly revealed PlayStation 4 and PS Vita strategy RPG, via a new online preview over on Famitsu.
The game takes place in the “Cocoon World” of Fillujah, and while it’s not a place of war, the entirety of their world is surrounded by a strange barrier.
The protagonists embark on a journey together, with the male (shown above) described as an upbeat person, and the female being positioned as a cold loner, who proudly brandishes her sniper rifle.
As previously mentioned, the world is encased in a massive barrier. Despite this, lots of things fall from the sky, including food – the protagonists live off these items falling through the barrier.
Suddenly, a strange new being from another world named Lyndbaum falls to the surface. For now, we’re left with a teaser of what the connection between the Cocoon World and Lyndbaum is, and what kind of situations will the characters get into.
We’ve also learned who the developer, or in this case, developers, are working on the game. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Shining Resonance developer Media Vision is handling the bulk of the work, with some work being done by Felistella.
The key staff include character designs by Kouhaku Kuroboshi, with the world planning, scenario drafting, and overall supervision by Shuu Miyakozuki.
Summon Night 6: Lost Borders is launching across PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan in the spring of next year. The first trailer for the game is launching early next month.
