Koei Tecmo has released the first official screenshots and details for the newly confirmed Skull Kid, who is making a return in Hyrule Warriors Legends.
You can find the new screenshots and information below:
Skull Kid steals the hero’s ocarina, and puts a curse on him in a different world entirely. A mischievous and dangerous individual, however, he does have friends. His fairy friends Tatl and Tael fight alongside him, and he uses an ocarina for a weapon.
Skull Kid uses the Ocarina Warp and Player Change abilities, which lets him unite up to four player characters to combat larger enemies. Coming from this, various effects can be unleashed, such as the Smash Burst Power, which allows for your magic gauge being restored.
The evil boss from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Phantom Ganon is returning as a new boss. He wields a large sword, and dishes out magic bullets, as well as the expected heavy sword attacks.
When using the aforementioned Ocarina Warp and Player Change mechanics, you can eventually unleash the Smash Burst Power, which unlocks various effects, like restoring your magic gauge.
A new stage from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is going to be in the game. Alongside the Wind and Earth Temples, you can also expect Wind Waker‘s Makar.
Hyrule Warriors Legends is launching for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on January 21st, followed by a North American and European release sometime in Q1 of next year.
