First DLC for Blackguards is Coming in March

blackguards untold legends dlc ss 1

Daedalic Entertainment has confirmed when the first batch of downloadable content for Blackguards, their recently released CRPG on Steam, will arrive for fans.

Titled “Untold Legends,” the downloadable content is arriving on March 4th, and it will bring with it a whole host of new content and changes to the game. You’ll experience new quests, new battles, new story elements, and some major updates to the original game as well.

The story in Untold Legends features the background story of Takate, the former slave and arena fighter, who is recruited to your party in chapter 2 of the original game’s story. Takate’s home is in the hills and rainforests of southern Aventuria, where most of the native Moha people originate from.

Untold Legends will bring new weapons to your disposal, new quests, more than 10 new battles and 25 unreleased music  tracks. The downloadable content will set you back € 4.99/$ 5.99/£ 3.99 respectively, and will be available via Steam, GOG, the Mac App Store and Gamesrocket. If you bought the game at retail, you’ll have to get the DLC via Gamesrocket. Also, if you got the Contributor’s Edition of the original game, you’ll get this DLC for free.

Lastly, on the same day the DLC launches the original game will get a major update, version 1.3, which will improve the game’s balancing system, give players better insights to characters hit percentage, and also how to improve your hit percentages. Showing the hit chance in battle is no longer dependent on the Warcraft and Animal Lore talents, meaning normal and special attacks will show the percentage no matter what.

I’m doing my review of this game and yes, not knowing the actual hit %’s are a real pain…since it doesn’t factor in the chance to dodge or the chance to block, which means just because it says 90% chance to hit you may actually have more like a 25% to hit. Big difference.
