Double Fine Productions has shared (via Eurogamer) the first Day of the Tentacle Remastered screenshots.
Featured above as well as below, you can view the first look at the HD remaster of the game, which is also playable on PlayStation 4 at this weekend’s IndieCade.
The game was first announced at last year’s PlayStation Experience, and is promised as an HD update to the classic adventure game. It features all new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork accompanied with remastered music, audio, and sound effects.
There’s also commentary from the game’s original creators, including Tim Schafer, Dave Grossman, Larry Ahern, Peter Chan, Peter McConnell, and Clint Bajakian.
If you’re a purist and just want to play the original on new hardware, you can toggle between the remaster and the original with a single button.
Finally, Maniac Mansion, the prequel for Day of the Tentacle, is also getting included with Day of the Tentacle Remastered.
Day of the Tentacle Remastered is set to release across PlayStation 4, PS Vita, PC, and Mac sometime early next year. The PlayStation versions of the game are cross-buy, meaning if you buy it once you get it on both platforms.
