New World Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have released the first major content update to their modern war shooter, Insurgency: Sandstorm.

In terms of new content, the update adds the Arcade playlist that features rotating game modes, five new weapons (the MP5A2, MP5A5, MG3, M240B, and PF940), a firing range that lets you practice with every weapon in the game, and a ton of new cosmetic items. There’s also a huge list of balance tweaks and performance enhancements. You can read the full patch notes here, and check out a trailer for the update above.

New World Interactive is also proud to announce that Insurgency: Sandstorm has surpassed 500,000 copies sold.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is available now on Windows PC via Steam for $29.99, with a console release coming sometime later this year. The game is currently 20% off to celebrate the new update. If you missed it, you can check out our review for it here (its pretty good).
