This week’s issue of Famitsu revealed new information concerning the latest entry in the Ace Attorney series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 6.
Details about where the story takes place as well as a key NPC have become available, which you can find below:
Up until now this numbered series has taken place in Japan. Now, the battles this time take place in a foreign country’s courts.
In order to fulfill a goal, Naruhodo (Phoenix Wright) goes to visit that country, and becomes drawn into an unlucky incident. Residents of this new country reportedly have some kind of belief regarding the spirits of those who have died.
Phoenix: “I believe that the person who asked for my help is innocent. Because of that, I’m going to set aside that belief and show the truth.”
The game utilizes a new system with water mirrors. Inside courts within this foreign country are large “water mirrors”. Images and letters
float inside them. This can be a way to learn about clues related to a case. In addition, you’ll be able to do the thrust (finger-pointing) from the main series.
Is he friend or enemy? The mysterious young boy.
Quote: “Are you a traveler? In that case you can leave everything to me.”
- Apprentice Priest
- Bokuto Tsuaani
He works as a tour guide for the living but is in training to be a priest. He is an energetic, positive young boy. He loves to explain things about this country to tourists. Once he starts explaining something, he won’t stop. How troublesome.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 6 is also confirmed to be coming west, although a release date isn’t confirmed.
