Fire Pro Wrestling World Boss Would Love to Put the Game on Switch

Spike Chunsoft recently launched Fire Pro Wrestling World on Steam Early Access, the first entry in the series since the Fire Pro Wrestling reboot on Xbox Live back in 2013.

The game was previously confirmed for PC and PlayStation 4, however many fans of the series have been wondering if it would come to Xbox One, and even the Nintendo Switch. Now, we’ve learned the game could head to the hybrid Nintendo console.

The news comes via Tomoyuki Matsumoto, a former Human Entertainment staffer and one of the mainstays in the Fire Pro franchise throughout its tumultuous journey through the past two decades.

“Speaking for me personally, I would love to put the game on Switch,” Matsumoto said to Retronauts when asked whether or not the game might come to other platforms.

Matsumoto also went on to explain why the game is being released on Steam Early Access first, pointing to their completely open approach with the game’s pre-release development.

“The main reason that we’re doing Early Access is so that we can create the new Fire Pro with the community,” he said. “We’re pretty much open to whatever fans have to say so, you know — all of you long-term Fire Pro fans, just let us know what you want and we’ll definitely consider it.”

You can find Fire Pro Wrestling World here on Steam. The PlayStation 4 version is coming sometime thereafter, however it hasn’t been dated yet.
