It seems like the writing truly is on the wall, in the case of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and the fate of both Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions.
The final box art for the game was revealed by publisher Konami, and it’s missing something kind of important. You can compare the final to the original (left to right, respectively), below:
Hideo Kojima and the Kojima Productions’ logo has been removed from the box, the same as their removal from Konami’s various official websites.
This is the latest in a string of troubling signs leading towards the eventual departure of Hideo Kojima and his team, with our previous report claiming that Kojima Productions has already disbanded.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is launching worldwide on September 1st, across Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
