It seems like we’ll be getting a release date for Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV, although it still might be a ways off.
In an interview with GameKult at Paris Games Week, game director Hajime Tabata discussed the development of the massive project:
“The number of developers on the project is actually a serious issue. We’re going to need a little more manpower as we start working towards the master build, so we’ve started recruiting more developers.”
While that has probably crushed whatever is remaining of your hopes and dreams, Tabata did confirm that Final Fantasy XV will eventually be finished:
“However, a target in terms of which year and season the game will be released has been roughly decided.”
Sadly, he concluded by reiterating that a release for the RPG is probably still a ways off:
“It might be a little bit after what you’re probably hoping for, though.”
Final Fantasy XV is currently in development for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

November 9, 2014 at 6:07 pmConsidering how long the Final Fantasy X remake took them I’m not surprised.

November 9, 2014 at 6:13 pmThis is getting ridiculous. The game’s been in development for nearly 9 years now. SE needs to learn that just making a game isn’t enough, they need to release them too to make money. FFXV is a losing project at this point, no doubt about it.

November 9, 2014 at 6:41 pmoh what a suprise …. NO
I was saying it for quite some time FF XV is due to 2016… it won’t be released in 2015… anyone want to bet?
It will be released in 2016 or even 2017. PS4 will be already dead in Japan (it nearly is already)… and all in all it will be released also on PC… wouldn’t be suprised if day-1 on par with consoles.
It is the biggest and the most expensive game they ever produced…. and it seems that JP doesn’t care about next gens…. that’s why they took Type-0 which was meant to be Vita title, and put in on PS4…. to act as a bait…

No, srsly, I will be so much hype for it! And it will not meet the majority expectations!
PS: Fuck me, I really pray to be wrong here!! =/

November 10, 2014 at 4:29 amCan definitely see this becoming a case of the game not being able to meet the impossible levels of hype built up around it. I also can see a 2016 release date.

November 22, 2014 at 6:58 pmStop talking out of your asses, Enix knows one thing for sure. This is their last chance to deliver a FF tittle. If this fails they are done for. So yes this will live up to its name, at least for 95% of the people. Since kids nowadays don’t like anything that’s not COD.
