Square Enix has announced King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon.
The Final Fantasy XV action RPG spinoff is set for a release on Android and iOS devices sometime later this year. Featured above, you can view the game’s announcement trailer.
While King’s Knight is a Famicom-era side-scrolling shooter developed and released by Square in 1986, it was only released in Japan. It’s worth mentioning the IP sees its 30th anniversary this year.
King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon has multiplayer support for up to four players, and comes with a new story and game world. It’ll be free to play when it launches.
Finally, as yet another show of their cross-franchise support, Noctis and his friends will be oftentimes seen playing King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon on their smartphones in Final Fantasy XV, when they’re not saving the world (you’ll get a glimpse of this in the above trailer).
