Alongside the news that Hajime Tabata has resigned from Square Enix, the company has confirmed that the game’s planned DLC packs are all cancelled.
The downloadable content packs, “Episode Aranea,” “Episode Lunafreya,” and “Episode Noctis”, which were to be released under “The Dawn of the Future” moniker, are all cancelled.
The company is now only finishing up the “Episode Ardyn” DLC, which they already had in active development.
Previously, Square reported an “extraordinary loss” in their latest financial report, for $33 million. We now know this is probably the above DLC packs being cancelled.
