Square Enix revealed some news for Final Fantasy XIV on the FFXIV Lodestone regarding the upcoming event for All Saints’ Wake, and new policies for in-game housing.
The new event is the Halloween themed bash titled “All Saints’ Wake”, and will be available starting on Thursday, the 22nd. Players will be able to grab a good number of spooky witch and pumpkin themed items including costumes, a new flying mount, a new minion, and a bunch of housing items. Check them out!
First up is the Witch’s outfit, as well as the Witch’s Broom flying mount. And that’s not all, either. The icons for these costume pieces have the little color node at the top right, which is indicative of the ability to dye them. While it’s hard to say for sure before they are implemented, it’s still a decent indicator.
Then there’s the new Pumpkin Butler minion. And with the Verminion update coming soon, chasing down those minions is more important than ever before!
To top it off, All Saints’ Wake will have tons of housing items available to keep your house looking like Halloween all year round. Take a look.
Just for clarification, we have a chair, table, a stuffed succubus, spooky wallpaper, a candlestick and a basket. Pretty neat stuff.
Furthermore, there was an announcement regarding new housing policies, specifically that of reclamation of inactive housing plots.
While the change isn’t anything ludicrous, it does mean that players with housing but inactive accounts, as well as players who simply don’t play, will need to be careful as their housing plots could be lost. And this all applies to Free Company housing as well.
This is good news overall, though. This means that housing will occasionally open up for people that are after it when other players leave the game.
Basically what it comes down to is that housing that has not been accessed for 45 days will be reclaimed by the server. You can read more on the new policy here.
