Square Enix have announced the free trial for Final Fantasy XIV has been expanded, the game achieving 20 million registered players, and a new trailer for Patch 5.3 – Reflections in Crystal.
The free trial now has a level cap of 60, and includes all content up through the Heavensward expansion (Patch 3.56). Players may also access the Dark Knight, Astologian, and Machinist jobs, and create their character as the Au Ra race.
The press release also confirms that “all existing and future” players will have access to the Heavensward expansion from now on.
In addition, Square Enix revealed that the game has achieved 20 million total registered users. The game originally launched in 2010, but after a disastrous reception was relaunched as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in 2013 to much more acclaim.
Finally, a new trailer for the upcoming Patch 5.3 – Reflections in Crystal has been release. Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.3 launches August 11th. You can find more information about the patch here, and the new trailer below.
