With the Heavensward release date solidified as June 23rd, and pre-orders for Heavensward opening today, Naoki Yoshida released some relevant information on March 14th about the pre-order bonuses, as well as what is included in the physical and digital collector’s editions.

To begin with, they showed off the packaging for the Windows, PS3 and PS4 standard and digital editions, shown right below. 

Along with this announcement came the prices for each of those. The boxed and digital versions for all systems priced at $39.99, and they all use the same artwork.

Additionally, it was announced that All-in-One Editions would be available for all three systems, all priced at $59.99. There is also an All-in-One version available for Mac PCs as well.

Now, the Boxed version of the Collector’s Edition is set at an ambitious $129.99. This will include “The Dragonsong War” box, featuring an illustration by the artist Yoshitaka Amano. While it is pictured below, it’s important to note that this box design will be altered between regions. Inside the box, comes a figure of one of the available Dragon Flying Mounts from the expansion, an Art Book featuring artwork from the development of FFXIV, and a High-Definition campilation of all of the trailers released for A Realm Reborn on a Blu-Ray disc entitled “Eorzea in Motion – A Realm Revisted”.

Both the Boxed version and Digital version of the Collector’s Edition will feature several in-game bonuses. The Collector’s Edition will get you access to a Flying Griffin Mount, a Dark Knight Cecil-themed Helm, a Win-up Kain Minion, and a Fantasia, in case you want to change your existing character to an Au Ra.

And simply pre-ordering any edition will net you a Baron Circlet and Earrings set, and a Chocobo Chick Courier Minion. Pre-order players will also get access to the Heavenward areas on June 19th, 4 days before the “official” release. You can see pictures of these items below.

Also of note, if you only pick up a standard version, Yoshida has said that you will be able to make a digital upgrade.

Some other pertinent information was released alongside all of this as well:

• To access the new city of Ishgard, you’ll need to complete the main scenario quest “Before the Dawn,” which will be dropping with patch 2.55 (which is coming on March 31st)
• If you play on multiple platforms, you’ll need to purchase Heavensward to access those areas on a given platform. However, you’ll be able to still access the basic areas of the game if you don’t.
• It’s expected that 20GBs of disk space will be necessary for the expansion, so people with a smaller HDD on their PS3 may want to consider upgrading.
