Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Remasters are Confirmed for Playstation 4

final fantasy x hd 12-11-14-1

It looks like that premature listing for a Playstation 4 version of Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is now confirmed.

During a press conference in China, Square Enix confirmed that the HD remaster was indeed coming to the Playstation 4. A release window of May 2015 was confirmed, although so far we only have confirmation that both titles are coming to Europe and Asia.

We’ll keep you guys posted and update this as necessary.

Bought the remasters a few months ago on PS3, got such a backlog of games tho that sinking 200-odd hours back into games I’ve already completed is starting to seem a bit redundant.

Oh, good. Now we’ve got a PS1, PSP and PS2 remasters on the PS4. Final Fantasy XIII soon to be re-released on the PS4! Oh, I love to be alive in the AGE OF RELEASING THE SAME GAMES A BILLION TIMES.

My same problem too. I’m about 1/3rd of the way through FFXHD, but have Xillia 2 I haven’t even *touched* yet.

Everything needs to get pushed back 2 years so I can catch up.

Better then never re-releasing games, which is the era I grew up in. DOS games that only worked on an 8hz system that broke when you upgrade to a blazingly fast 33hz one; windows 95/98 games that are still unplayable nowadays since they don’t work on any windows since, and the emulators still don’t work quite well enough.

There’s still a ton of old games lost to the mist of time that are only available as emulated games, if that.

I’m quite happy for them to re-release too much, at least if people keep buying these they’ll have some incentive to dig up their older catalogue and release it.

I haven’t bought the game for ps3 because I’m still waiting and hoping for dual audio or japanese voice dlc.
