Mobile game, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier has announced during the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Celebration stream that Season 3 named “Highway Star” is under way.
This update includes another map, Midgar (Plateside) with urban combat with various new locations like a park, highway, and massive buildings like skyscrapers. In this new map location, you can also fall off and die making a new wave in strategizing.
A new style, Machinist, is added which includes an Air Gadget and Jamming Gadget style ability. The Air Gadget launches middles but allows you to ride on it while it hovers to make you more maneuverable. Your Jamming Gadget ability jams nearby signals which can disable the use of weapons and can damage enemies with extended use.
Weapons like the Serpent Launcher and Dual Wheeler are also featured in the new season. A major point of the Dual Wheeler is that it fires like a shotgun when you use your MP but will otherwise act as an assault rifle. The Serpent Launcher still acts as a regular rocket launcher causing damage in an area of effect.
Defensive and offensive accessories can also be earned to give different buff like restoring HP when hitting enemies with an LMG, Drain Belt; Meanwhile the Ifrit Belt makes shotguns and SMGs instantly reload and increases in damage momentarily when killing enemies. Other update notes have also updated existing accessories in the game.
Lastly, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier will feature it’s first North American Tournament with details coming this summer. Recruitment details will be released at a later date. For more information, it’s recommended to stay tuned to their social media accounts like Twitter and website.
