Final Fantasy VII Remake gets a low-poly mod to celebrate its past

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Final Fantasy VII Remake players that are still fans of the original can rejoice as a new mod surfaced that reverts the characters to their original low-poly models.

The new Polygonal Players mod transforms several characters in game into their low-poly counterparts. Specifically, it is the low-poly version as seen in the original Final Fantasy VII PC-port, which gave the characters mouths (the PlayStation original didn’t have mouths).

This new low-poly mod replaces Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barrett, Yuffie, and Sonin, the latter of which didn’t have a low-poly model as they are a new character. It works both in-game as well as in cutscenes and it really just changes the mood entirely.

Modders continue to work hard to transform Final Fantasy VII Remake into a wild and crazy adventure. You can already transform the cast with a bunch of different costumes, or make Tifa’s boobs and butt extremely massive.

So, use this opportunity to dive right back into Final Fantasy VII Remake and playthrough another adventure with those old-school models and as you prepare yourself for the next chapter in the Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which is set to release in winter of next year on the PlayStation 5.
