Disappointed there’s no hidden gold trophies or something.

Is there really a point in getting excited over a port when a remake is also coming? Sure, given Squeenix’s trackrecord it may not be anytime soon, but it’s coming nonetheless. Seems redundant to want to play the same game twice within the same gen, providing the remake doesn’t change the plot or something. I mean, I can understand it with open World games or WRPGs where there are multiple paths to explore and whatnot; but FFVII is pretty straightforward~.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a classic and I loved it back in the day. I just don’t see the point in SE releasing the port then the remake in a year or two. Also, no Platinum trophy~?

Didn’t the director say he was going to make significant changes to the game or something? I remember people getting angry over it being more of a “reimagining” or a “retelling” than an outright remake but I could be remembering wrong.

I hope they don’t change it. I plan on buying the remake for my PC but if they changed the core of FF7 in anyway then no sell.

Watch SJWs get butthurt over the Crossdressing Trophy. They have gotten offended by Trophies before.

There’s a platinum trophy on the top of that list in the article.

Therein lies the reason to buy this if anything to a real FF7 veteran.

Because you all know that platinum is piss easy in comparison to all the work we’ve done otherwise.

You seem way too excited over this. What is this, the 4th port of that game?

Because the people who would mainly buy it would get smacked away with what I can can figure is the good chance of them using FF15s way of fighting, might as well grind out those nostalgia bucks before milking noob cash.

I don’t know, that and the Barret one might have them call it progressive and worth peoples money.

Since the director of the FF7 remake found out he was the director the same time we did. I assume its going to be 2020 before we get that game. though that might be wishful thinking!

They mentioned something like that both for the plot *and* the combat mechanics. But still, reimagining a game works for really old games where the plot was very short due to the constraints of the medium they were released on. Ys the Oath in Felghana and Ys Memories of Celceta come to mind. However, in the case of FFVII, a game with an already rich and extensive plot, I wonder what could they possibly “reimage” or retell without simply ruining what was altogether~?

I believe I read something about how certain tropes from vanilla FF7 wouldn’t be tolerated today, but that might not be true; however, you cannot deny the fact that its battle system is dated. The remake is definitely subject to change. Gotta appeal to the masses to yield as much shekels as possible dude.

I prefer to remain slightly optimistic instead of thinking they’ll butcher a timeless classic. But I understand where you are coming from seeing as we are both fellow ass men~.
