Final Fantasy Trading Card Game Set for October 28 Western Release

Square Enix has announced a release date for the English version of the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game.

The real-life trading card game will launch on October 28th in both North America and Europe. Featured above, Square Enix shared a first in their tutorial videos, showcasing the various types of cards, the play mat, and resource management.

The first set of cards is dubbed simply “Opus I,” and it feautres 216 cards. The booster packs for Opus I will include cards featuring artwork from series artists like Yoshitaka Amano, Tetsuya Nomura, and even Akihiko Yoshida. Every card has a standard and premium holographic/foil version.

Square Enix will also release Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X, and Final Fantasy XIII-themed starter packs, all of which are available at launch.
