Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy Legends: Jiku no Suisho, or Final Fantasy Legends: The Space-Time Crystal for us westerners.

The game was confirmed via this week’s Famitsu magazine, and it will be directed by Takashi Tokita, who previously worked on Chrono Trigger as the co-director and finally Parasite Eve as the director. In case the name didn’t give you any ideas, the core story will revolve around space and time travel.

Square Enix is touting The Space-Time Crystal as a real JRPG that will bring the legacy of Final Fantasy to smartphones. Lastly, the soundtrack for the game is being handled by Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII composer, Naoshi Mizuta.

Square Enix also confirmed Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius this week—yet another smartphone RPG.
