Square Enix has revealed (via Famitsu) that Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade is getting a new playable stage in its latest update.
Final Fantasy IX‘s Alexandria will be added as a playable stage in the game’s March 2016 update.
The plaza itself will contain lots of goodies which are sure to make fans of the classic RPG happy – a bunch of shops, a ticket booth, the area where Vivi’s jump rope mini-game happens, and more. The entire stage will change as time passes, in real-time.
While Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade is currently available in Japanese arcades, it could get a PlayStation 4 release sometime in the near future (Editor’s note: its hardware is even based on PS4 architecture).
