Final Fantasy IV: The After Years 3D Remake is Heading to Steam Next Month

Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, their 3D remake of the mobile original, is coming to PC via Steam next month.

Fans will be able to download the game on May 12th. While visual upgrades were not confirmed, we do know it will come with the regular suite of Steam OS additions like Stream Trading Cards and Steam Achievements. Following the game’s debut on iOS and Android, it later made tracks on the PSP and Wii, putting fans into a 3D world set 20 years after the events of Final Fantasy IV.

A price wasn’t mentioned, but people that pre-order the Steam release before launch will get Final Fantasy IV: The After Years at a 10% discount.

[Editor’s Note: The article originally stated the game launched first on PSP and WiiWare, when it originally launched in Japan as a mobile game. This has since been corrected.]
