Square Enix have confirmed that Final Fantasy III is heading to PC via Steam.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get an exact release date, but the press released did mention that the game would be arriving “soon.” The PC version of the classic game will be fully optimized, featuring brand new 3D visuals and even some new story sequences. As the title is on Steam, it will also have Steam achievements and trading cards.
The original Final Fantasy III was released back in 1990 for the Famicom, and on the Nintendo DS in 2006 in the West. It has also been ported to several other platforms including the Playstation Network, the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles, and both iOS and Android devices.
