Square Enix revealed an ‘Ultimate Box’ Edition for Final Fantasy Explorers that will feature a number of exclusive items for the game. At this point, it’s set up to be on the Square Enix E-Store for ¥13,000, which is roughly 125 dollars. The release date, if you haven’t heard yet, is December 18th for Japan, while nothing has been said for worldwide yet.
Anyway, along with the list of what is included came a whole bunch of pictures, so check these out. I really like the faux-leather carrying case, although I wish it hand a more worn leather look to really feel like an explorer’s bit of equipment.
So what’s included is here: A leather case, a hardcover 3DSXL shell, a soundtrack, an artbook, and of course, the game.
This is the current game case for this edition – it remains to be seen if the regular print copies will have a different packaging.
The leather 3DSXL case features a Bahamut silhouette on one side with the game’s logo on the other.
It also has a beautiful red inside.
This set will feature a sound track with a number of early demo tracks from Tsuyoshi Sekito, the game’s composer.
And here’s the hardshell case for the 3DSXL. It features the game’s name and an illustration by Yoshitaka Amano.
So, anyone else looking forward to this game? I really hope it plays like Crystal Chronicles back on the Gamecube – that was quite possibly one of the best multiplayer RPG experiences I’ve ever had – at least on the fun scale.
