Publisher and developer Square Enix has announced they’re shutting down Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius in Japan too.
While the long-running smartphone spinoff RPG shut down its global version back in October 2024, the company has confirmed the Japanese version will shut down around the same time this year.
Now, Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius will shut down worldwide on October 31st in Japan. At the time of the global shutdown, Square Enix noted there were no plans to shut down its native release.
To celebrate the game’s legacy, a “Grand Finale Campaign” will be held until the game is shut down, and a “Memorial Version” will be released after the shut down to let players see content from the game.
