Japanese developer Arika has announced Fighting EX Layer Ver 3.0, a new upgraded release that includes full 3D movement and sidestepping.

The series of new gameplay videos were shown off with prototype versions of the game. As the game is still in development, you’ll be able to see various issues in earlier videos get resolved in later videos.

Alongside the new gameplay is the confirmation that Fighting EX Layer Ver 3.0 will be playable at EVO Japan 2023, which runs from March 31st through April 2nd.

The original Fighting EX Layer has been available for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and arcades.
