Feature-Length Trailer for City Shrouded in Shadow

Bandai Namco has shared a feature-length trailer for City Shrouded in Shadow.

Featured above, the four-plus minute long trailer gives a nice overview of the Granzella-developed survival / apocalypse type game, which features a multitude of massive creatures that attack the city.

Fans can expect cameos from Evangelion, Godzilla, Ultraman, Patlabor, Gamera, and more.

City Shrouded in Shadow is launching for PlayStation 4 in Japan on October 19th.

There’s no way in hell this is getting localized, but I’m praying to one of the giant monsters that we get an Asia English release.

Considering all the copyrights involved, I guess there’s no chance this’ll see a western release. Though I guess that might be a good thing considering what western Bamco has been like lately.

I wonder if bugging someone like Play Asia to push for an Asia English release would be worth it

Game looks on the Yakuza level of quality when characters are talking to one another, that’s really cool. It could easily pass for a spinoff like Dead Souls if we didn’t know what it was already.

A monster attack game from a survival’s perspective? That’s a pretty interesting concept. The cameos alone could be a selling point for some.
