Marvelous has showed a bit more of Fate/Extella off through new screenshots that showcase the new Master that will function as the player character, as well as a new form change for Caster Tamamo-no-Mae.

Tamamo’s form change puts her in a costume reminiscent of an Onmyouji, and she appears to be accompanied by snow. Based on the screenshots (shown below) it appears she’ll keep a Caster-like approach to combat in the form change utilizing ranged attacks, but it’s hard to tell exactly what the form will entail. Maybe we’ll get to see some talismans?

Then is the confirmation on a Fate/Extra-style player character who will act as a Master. You’ll be able to choose a gender and name for the Master, and you’ll play out the game as that Master. While it’s not exactly confirmed, it does appear that the Master is still Hakuno. Check out the screenshots below.

Fate/Extella is set to release in Japan sometime this year, on PS4 and Vita.
