Fate/EXTRA Record launches in 2025 for PC and consoles

Publisher TYPE-MOON and developer TYPE-MOON Studio BB have announced a release window and platforms for Fate/EXTRA Record.

The long-awaited remake of the original Fate/EXTRA dungeon crawler game is finally launching sometime in 2025 for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. The remake was announced back in 2020.

Now, the “Moon Holy Grail War” is back!

The setting is a fictional world of spirit children called “SE.RA.PH. In search of the Holy Grail, the all-powerful wishing machine that can grant any wish, Masters and Servants work together to fight for survival. The “Moon Holy Grail War” begins again!

On July 22, 2010, Fate/EXTRA was released as the first RPG in the Fate series. Fate/EXTRA is being remake with enhanced scenarios, new character graphics, improved strategy, and new game modes.

Master & Servant

128 of the world’s leading hackers, who are capable of spiritualizing their own souls, are selected as masters to participate in the Holy Grail War.

They make contracts with the souls of historical heroes and great figures whose true names are kept secret, Servants are given seven classes with different characteristics, such as Saber and Archer, and materialize as spirit life.

At the end of their joint struggle, their souls are entrusted to each other, and their respective pasts and hidden wishes intersect.
