Fate/EXTRA Record delayed to 2026

Fate/EXTRA Record

Publisher TYPE-MOON and developer TYPE-MOON Studio BB have announced a delay window and platforms for Fate/EXTRA Record.

The long-awaited remake of the original Fate/EXTRA dungeon crawler game will forgo its planned 2025 release for one sometime next year, in spring 2026. The delay was made to further improve quality of the game.

When the game does launch, it’ll be on Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. The remake was announced back in 2020.

Alongside news of the delay is a swanky “Super Special Edition” of the game, with new artwork by series illustrator Arco Wada, which is not only framed but also individually serial numbered, as seen above. A Special Edition with the game’s soundtrack and more will also be available. Check out all of the different versions of the game here on its official site.
