Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

SNK Corporation has announced Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves DLC character Joe Higashi is now available as a surprise release.

Joe Higashi is now available for all platforms as part of the game’s Season Pass 1.

Here’s a rundown on the character, plus a new trailer:

Beloved series staple Joe Higashi is back in town! Fresh, fearless offense and an all-new legend await!

Muay Thai champion Joe Higashi debuted alongside fellow heroes Terry and Andy Bogard in the series’ first entry, FATAL FURY (1991), solidifying their status as faces of the franchise for generations. Now, 26 years after his last roster appearance (1999’s FATAL FURY: WILD AMBITION), Joe makes his triumphant return as a playable character! Buckle up as the Summoner of Storms sweeps through South Town once more in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves!

JOE HIGASHI (Voice Actors: Kevin Andrew Rivera in English, Kozo Mito in Japanese)

Famed Muay Thai fighter with stiff kicks that can shatter steel. No other kickboxer can lay a finger, elbow, or knee on Joe Higashi, so the champ winds up tackling a different beast: the silver screen! His biopic documentary, The Legend of Joe (directed by none other than Cheng Sinzan), is already shooting around South Town; Joe even envisions a bit part for star pupil Preecha, whose recent tournament triumphs have done her master proud.

New stories in Arcade Mode and EOST (Episodes of South Town)!

Arcade Mode: Joe and legacy character Cheng Sinzan set out to film a major motion picture, The Legend of Joe, based on the Muay Thai master’s eventful life.

EOST: Joe’s single-player RPG adventure sees him romp through the city while reminiscing about how he met star pupil Preecha.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has been available since April 2025 for Windows PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
