Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is Launching this Fall

Nintendo has confirmed the release window for Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water in the west.

The game will launch some time this fall on the Wii U. Featured above, a new gameplay trailer was revealed for the game.

As you’ve noticed, the game’s official western name was confirmed, as we’ve been calling it Fatal Frame: The Raven Haired Shrine Maiden up until now.

The fuckers at shitendo didn’t show it at E3. They want to kill the series for sure. It’s easily marketed with the use of gamepad as camera but they choose to ignore it.

But, what about the fourth title? They are not planing to bring it too? Oh well… Anyway, I will get this beauty.

They better not censor the alternate outfits.

Maybe I won’t use em but its the principle of the fucking matter.

And they didn’t show this during the Digital Event because…?

Really? Real shame they didn’t show it at E3. It’s one of the best uses of the gamepad on the entire system and it could use the exposure. The gamepad integration actually looks really fun. I can definitely see myself playing this in the dark with my headphones plugged into the gamepad and getting the crap scared out of me.

With how disappointing their show was, they really could have benefited from showing off this and Devil’s Third. I don’t know if they just didn’t want to break the kiddy vibe they had going throughout the show or what. I guess they figured muppets and toys would be too jarring alongside that.

Well… It’s a Tecmo game, and after what we saw in Hyrule Warriors, I think it will not happen.

Since we BARELY got Nintendo to bring this over to the U.S., this will sadly most likely be the last FF game we’ll ever see stateside. I mean, just look at how poorly this is being handled.

They didn’t show devil’s third either. The show was cool and crazy but the content sucked.

Wait, Tecmo Koei could do it by themselves.

Looks good. Wonder why Nintendo didn’t pimp more 3rd party stuff during their digital event like MS & Sony.

Censored? Or all costumes will be available in the game?

And then N fanboys wonder why some people say Nintendo is for kids.

Tecmo Koei barely advertises though from what I remember. They’d announce it on their site and their social media channels but that tends to be as far as it goes.

Heck, I was excited for Bladestorm: Nightmare but I completely missed its release since I didn’t see anyone advertising that it was out. Granted that may be my own failing as well.

Nintendo wants mature games and to keep their completely family friendly image. They can’t have both. Must suck for more mature devs trying to work with Nintendo.

I didin’t realize it was out until I read your comment. I wish Nintendo would stop being scared of advertising the more mature games on their systems.

It’s a Wii game, highly unlikely. At least there’s the fan translation. Can be played on a Wii without hacking it too I think.
