Ubisoft have announced the release date for Far Cry 6, along with the worldwide gameplay reveal.

As previously reported, the game has players engaging in guerrilla warfare to overthrow dictator Anton Castillo, using weapons, vehicles, and even animals such as horses and a wiener dog.

Orphan Dani Rojas (who can be male or female) is thrust into rebellion after Castillo’s men shoot a boat full of people. As Castillo attempts to bring Yara back to its former glory (by whatever means) and set up his son in his stead, Dani will tear destructive vengeance across the island.

Players will learn from Juan Cortez in the art of guerrilla warfare, along with him making destructive weapons, tools, and custom cars for the player. Use secret camps to build resistance, relax between missions, plan the next, and buy weapons on the black market.

Use secret paths from the last civil war in the jungles, or take the fight straight to the streets. Hide your weapons, bribe, sabotage, intercept transmissions, and use deception to your advantage. When that fails; blow everything to hell.

Far Cry 6 launches October 7th on Windows PC (via Epic Games Store, and UPlay), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia.
