When Level-5 announced Fantasy Life 2, many fans of the original game were confused and upset.
The game is a mobile spinoff that carries over much of its original charm, however there were concerns as to how the jump to mobile could work. Now, it seems like the publisher is trying to completely rebrand the title, as they’ve announced it’s getting a name change.
Originally called Fantasy Life 2: Twin Moons and the Sacred Village, the game will now be known simply as Fantasy Life Online. The reasoning behind this change is reportedly to make it more appealing to new users, instead of presenting it as a sequel.
While the game was delayed from 2015 into this year, Level-5 is still looking to ship the title later this year.
