Stardock launched their 4X fantasy game, Sorcerer King, last October on Steam Early Access – and now the game has gotten an official release date.

The game will be leaving Steam Early Access for a full release on July 16th. Players will be thrust into a procedurally generated world in which the titular Sorcerer King reigns over all – and he does it mercilessly.

Your goal is to build up your power from your fledgling city-state, via playing as one of the six sovereigns Wizard, Commander, Tyrant, Guardian, Priest, or Tinkerer, or a custom one. You are being timed, as there’s a Doomsday Counter ticking away towards your doom – should you fail in overtaking the Sorcerer King.
