Developer Hidden Leaf Games have announced Fangs is launching via early access this month.
Lead Designer Steve “Guinsoo” Feak is the mind behind this new title, who has experience with some of the most influential in the genre with DOTA and League of Legends.
The title harkens more similar to Battlerite, which put emphasis on combat and teamfighting over the traditional style of laning to farm up and build a character throughout the course of the game.

For Early Access release, Fangs will have three different playable maps, each with different battlefield conditions, and unique strategic challenges staged in different environments. These maps will feature two different win conditions, all with their own quirks and challenges. The two win conditions are: Aspect Win (push the payload), and Captain Win (achievable by killing the enemy Captain four times). Each game is made up of a best of five rounds, with either win conditions being met.
Fangs’ diverse hero roster of fourteen heroes at launch, comes with an even more in depth customization system. With the ability to change augments each round, players can change their playstyle to match any team comp challenge.

When they first began brainstorming for how they wanted Fangs to play, they looked at some of their favorite MOBA titles and took inspiration from elements that they felt really spoke for the genre, while eliminating other mechanics that didn’t add to the experience they were looking to create.
Hidden Leaf Games’ goal for Fangs is to empower players to express their style through a fast-paced hero brawler that rewards adaptability and precise skill.
The game invites both the MOBA curious, as well as genre veterans since it’s easy to learn, but hard to master. Fangs eliminates lane phases, CSing, and complex item builds which help lower the MOBA entry barriers that tend to deter folks from the genre.
