Lancarse is a Japanese game studio most notable for their robust line up of quality dungeon RPGs which include games like the original Etrian Odyssey, and the DS game Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. While the studio has done programming for these games, they also helped with the planning and design phases for Etrian Odyssey, and even Lost Heroes for publisher Namco Bandai.

Now we’ve caught wind of their latest project via this week’s Famitsu magazine, which turns out to be a totally new game for both Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. Details are far and few in between for now, but given their continual foray into the world of dungeon crawler RPGs, it’s safe to say they’re probably working on a shiny new dungeon crawler for both platforms.

One of the only notable pieces of information to come out of the Famitsu leak is that the title of the game has the word “Dimension” in it. The story itself is being written by Jun Kumagai, a writer whose work can be seen in the scripts of the Persona 3 movies, as well as a few episodes of Persona 4: The Animation.

The Famitsu report also claims that the voice actors in the game will be notable seiyuus, and not regular voice-actors. Yuu Yamashita, an animator and animation director on several anime series (like Sword Art Online and Naruto), is going to do the game’s character designs. Takeshi Oga, notable for the Background Setting & Art on Gravity Rush, is working on the tower designs in the game.

The original leak has certain parts of the information censored for some reason, so we’re going to hold off publishing more info until the issue of Famitsu is available. Lastly, the game is reportedly set for a release in Japan sometime this August, and it will be published by To Love-Ru Darkness: Battle Ecstasy developer FuRyu.
