We’ve learned that Bethesda’s recently announced Fallout 4 is not possible on previous generation consoles.

“It is not coming to 360 and PS3, the stuff we’re doing will never work there,” wrote Bethesda’s global community manager Matt Grandstaff over in an ongoing NeoGAF thread.

This is certainly interesting considering the worry that graphics enthusiasts had with the game being further held back, from having to run on older hardware.

A release date for Fallout 4 is currently unconfirmed, but we do know it’s currently listed for a 2015 release at various retailers. We’ll keep you guys posted, as we’ll see more of the game at this year’s E3 expo.
