Last year, Falcom finished out their reveals by confirming that they were working on a sequel for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash, and that they were also working on a new mystery project. The president of Falcom, Toshihiro Kondo, let slip the small amount that he’s allowed to in an interview featured in the previous Famitsu magazine.
He claims that 2013 was a challenging year for the studio, most notably that they released their first Playstation 3 and multi platform title at the same time with the release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash. They were given several awards for the game’s release, and as a result all of that hard work had paid off.
Despite Famitsu’s prying, Kondo could only say so much. When asked if the mystery title would be a new entry in the Ys series, Kondo simply said “I can only reply to that question by saying it’s a secret for now. I can’t even disclose what platform it’ll be on, but we want to release it as such so that it will be playable by as many players as possible.”
Now it seems that we could finally get a full reveal for at least one of their upcoming projects. This news could possibly be coming in the form of the Acoustic Live & Talk Show, which will be held by Falcom on January 25th, at 6 PM Japan time.
The event is being held at the Shinjuku Loft Plus One, and if the description is anything to go by – it will share updates on both the Trails in the Flash sequel and the mystery project. Toshihiro Kondo, Falcom JDK Band Dr. Toshiharu Okajima, and others will be in attendance.
