Eyedol is the Final Season Three Character for Killer Instinct

Microsoft has announced the final character for Killer Instinct’s third season.

The new addition, Eyedol, will be added to the game later this month – news confirmed at this year’s EVO. Featured above, you can view the monster’s reveal trailer.

Eyedol was the original boss in the first Killer Instinct game, which saw release back in 1994.

Fans will get Eyedol on July 22nd for Ultra Edition owners, July 29th for Combo Breaker Edition owners, and finally with those who buy the Definitive Edition when it hits retail on September 20th.

I feel really bad for this, but I had no clue this game was still getting DLC, or even still popular until I saw it on the Evo Schedule.

I don’t think it was ever explicitly stated that Eyedol is the final character for season 3. Iron Galaxy keeps touting him as the 8th character. We can assume he’s the last, but he might not be.

“I serve no one”! I’m getting Legacy of Kain flashbacks from that line.

A small shame his head isn’t actually two heads but hey, cool, Eyedol.

The more I watch those trailers, the more I wish I still had my old N64 Killer Instinct game. This is so painful to watch, especially if you know that Eyedol has normally two complete heads and not one split in half.

    This is just sad.
