Eye of the Beholder, Gold Box and More Now on GOG

Today, GOG.com released a huge collection of classic cRPG games based on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons pen-and-paper role-playing system and set in the world of Forgotten Realms. The release is a digital version of the Forgotten Realms: The Archive compilation that was available in the late 1990s.

Those games have been divided into three distinct packages. First of them consists of Eye of the Beholder trilogy of first-person dungeon crawling games developed by Westwood.

The second one is a big compilation of SSI’s Gold Box games and is comprised of the whole Pool of Radiance series, all the offline Savage Empire games and Hillsfar (unfortunately, no news about Krynn trilogy). The third part consists of Dungeon Hack – a roguelike game built around a Eye of the Beholder engine – and Menzoberranzan.

About

I play games (I have a preference for old, weird and difficult ones but that's not the rule) and write articles about them that are sometimes a bit too long. Sometimes I also do things other than gaming, I swear.
